So, Chris did a great job with my new banner. Thanks honey! For those who have been coming to my blog for awhile you will notice that I now have my pastel seascape as my new banner. I was feeling funny having the flower on it that I didn’t paint. I wanted something of my own. So, tell me what you think? The colors are remarkably similar. I am computer illiterate, so am very lucky to have Chris help me with this blog and with any computer questions I may have. Eventually, I will have a website with a gallery of my paintings that will be for sale etc. For the time being, you can see some of my work in the “portfolios” to your left. I need to find a way to have the titles of the paintings on there as well.
You all know that my main medium of choice is watercolor. Although, pastels are really taking up my time lately. I love the colors and the texture of pastels. Especially the really soft ones. yummy!
So, I have this canvas that has been sitting in the garage. It had a horrible green color all over it from a painting gone wrong:) Yesterday I painted it with some white gesso. Today, I used a panting knife to apply the gesso very thickly. So, now there is all kinds of texture. It looks good already. I’m not sure where this is taking me. Something abstract with acrylic I think. I will let you guys know where I am at with this process. I think it will be fun and freeing. I need that right now!
